So much has happened in our lives over the past year. Now that we have time to reflect on everything that has gone on we feel closer as a family, and we find gratitude for the things that we share together. It's good to have eachother for comfort and support with the world seeminly falling apart around us. The economy that was once wonderful in our community is now crumbling. Jake's employeer just layed off 1500 people. Jake has been safe so far, but knowing that our friends and neighbors have been devistatingly affected by the unstable economy weighs heavy in our hearts. I'm at the edge of my seat everytime he goes to work hoping that he wont come home with a pink slip in hand. The medical profession which was once deemed safe is also being affected. I am safe at Safford's hospital so far, but because of the unsurity I picked up a second job in Willcox to work part time/per diem. It will be a good thing for our family to have a third income to get rid of our debt incase harder times should arise. That and I'm a work-a-holic. I have been chompin at the bit to get out since Safford cut over time. Despite the stresses, we are blessed to have our home and our lives together away from the worlds. We have eachother and we know that ultimately we will be fine.

Clayton's work is a little scary too. We pray every night that he won't be effected. In time like these is makes you realize you have everything you need when you have family. Nothing else even comes close to being as important. Hang in there! Things have to start getting better soon. (We hope)
Glad you started a blog!
